Chris Martin's partner Gwyneth Paltrow has given birth to their first child, and they have named her Apple.
The Hollywood star gave birth a 9 pounds 11 ounces Apple Blythe Alison Martin in a London hospital following a long labour. Both mother and baby are said to be doing well.
"We are 900 miles over the moon," said the Coldplay frontman, "and we'd like to thank everyone at the hospital who have looked after us amazingly."
Following the birth of little Apple, Coldplay have made a spoof glam rock video to post on their official website in celebration.
The video, in which the band are decked-out in wigs and going by the name of The Nappies, sees Martin rapping to Gwynth and his newborn daughter. Here's a taste of the lyrics:
"I'll be there through the thin and the thick, I'm gonna clean up all the poo and the sick."
