Chris Pine is reported to have been charged with drink driving while filming on location in New Zealand.
The Hollywood star, who plays Captain Kirk in the rebooted Star Trek movies, is claimed by NineMSN to have been collared on the morning of 1 March.
His arrest apparently followed a party to celebrate the end of shooting on Z For Zachariah - and he is reported to have been drinking with co-stars including Margot Robbie and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
Police in Canterbury confirmed that a 33-year-old American has been charged with driving with excess blood alcohol - and is set to appear at Ashburton District Court on 17 March.
Casey Crawford, manager of the Blue Pub in Methven, said that around 70 cast and crew from the movie had been at a wrap party on the night of 28 February.
He explained that the shindig wound down at around 3am.
