Christian Bale is reportedly top of the list to star opposite Jennifer Lawrence in oil business epic The Ends Of The Earth.
J-Law has [uuid=b903bbea-dea0-4378-a80b-daefb03b5d0d]already been cast[/uuid] as the adopted daughter of oil tycoon Ernest Marland in the drama, and director David O Russell is reportedly keen to recruit Batman star Bale to play the businessman.
The Daily Mail claims that Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt and Matt Damon are also on Silver Linings Playbook director Russell's shortlist - but that Welshman Bale is his first choice.
The movie will tell how Marland lost his empire after being exposed as having an affair with his adopted daughter Lydie (J-Law's character).
Lawrence and Bale are also set to star together in another of Russell's movies - a 1970s political drama.
