He might have hung up his cape as Batman, but Christian Bale is every bit as brooding in the latest clip from his forthcoming movie Exodus: Gods And Kings.

Ridley Scott's biblical epic sees the Welsh wonder playing Moses, the Egyptian prince who is credited with leading the Jews to freedom.

And the clip sees him questioning the tactical decisions made by Joel Edgerton's Pharaoh Ramses in the build up to a massive battle.

However his boss shuts him down and tells him to concentrate on fighting.

Two armies are then seen engaging on a huge plain between mountains, with the action cutting out just as the two forces' front lines collide.

Released on 12 December in the UK, the movie also stars Sigourney Weaver, Ben Kingsley and Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul.
