Christina Aguilerahas reportedly filed for divorce from hubby Jordan Bratman.
Despite only confirming their separation yesterday, a source close to to the You Lost Me singer has told People.com that Christina has filed for divorce stating 'irreconcilable differences' as her reason for the break-up.
According to US magazine, Aguilera listed the date of their separation as 11th September 2010 and the papers have also confirmed that the couple had a prenup.
The divorce petition also states: "Earnings and accumulations of [Aguilera] before marriage, during marriage and from and after the date of separation" are to be considered separate property.
TMZ.com has also reported that the Dirrty hitmaker has asked for joint custody of their two-year old son, Max, as well as seeking to terminate Jordan's ability to get child support.
Xtina previously released a statement about her split from Bratman, claiming: "Although Jordan and I are separated, our commitment to our son Max remains as strong as ever,"
The couple, who married in 2005, allegedly attempted to save their marriage by taking a 'make or break' summer holiday to Italy, with insiders claiming the break 'failed to rekindle their eight year relationship.'
