Christina Aguilera has defended her sexy new video for single Not Myself Tonight.

The clip- which is directed by Hype Williams- features the star in a variety of skimpy outfits and underwear and shows her ‘getting friendly’ with female dancers.

Now Xtina has said that the images don’t contradict her role as a mother. She told Access Hollywood:

“I never claimed to be a cookie-cutter soccer mom. That's all good for some people (but) not for me.

"(My son Max) is going to grow up in a household where he knows mommy expresses herself artistically and some of that will have to reflect itself sexually too, at times.

“He's going to learn to respect the fact that women are allowed to express themselves and not feel shameful about their bodies or their sexuality.”

Aguilera has also faced criticism because the video is similar to previous Madonna and Lady GaGa efforts.
