Chvrches Respond To Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda 'Disney' Jibe
It’s been a while since Linkin Park rapper Mike Shinoda attacked the electronic trio from Glasgow, but Chrvches have finally hit back with gusto in a new interview.
During an interview with Noisey back in April, Shinoda slammed Chvrches and other current bands labelling them as "Disney commercial music".He went on to say that the level of music had become: "…monkey-see, monkey-do, and it just cheapens the whole scene".
Now, Chvrches have finally responded to his jibe when speaking to Swiss TV channel Joiz, Lauren Mayberry branded Linkin Park's music "pointless" before adding that Shinoda's remarks about them were "complete bull****". Speaking of Linkin Park, Mulberry stated: "It’s not an opinion I would worry about hugely. It’s not my kind of music. They’ve been on the radio for how long, and I just don’t listen to that radio station.
"That’s a smarter move than saying something for a tagline…I think that’s silly. Live and let live. I will continue to probably not buy Linkin Park albums."
