After two and a half weeks of feverish voting, we're stoked to announce that Teesside University are the winners of this year's Pimp My Summer Ball brought to you by Club MTV and MTV TRAX!

Fingers in the North East must be red raw after racking up 442,728 votes on Twitter sending the Uni soaring to the top of our leaderboard. With tweetathons and stalls set up all around campus promoting the competition they gave it their all!

Teesside also racked up the most in-app votes on MTV TRAX which means, after their 15% boost bonus, their final vote tally ended at a staggering 509,137!

Having won our Pimp My Summer Ball competition back in 2014, Teesside's Summer bash will again get an injection of MTV expertise, so, if you were there last time you'll know to expect big surprises, bigger production and a few special guests…

Big shout outs to Royal Holloway who placed 2nd with 280,188 votes and Queen Mary who came third with 100,789 votes, plus all the other Universities which took part and MTV TRAX for making it all happen.
