And the Coldplayfrontman has experienced painful headaches along with the excruciating ringing in the ears caused by the ailment, which usually affects the over 55s.
Plan B and electro-pop legend Gary Numan - who have both also suffered from debilitating hearing problems.
Plan B said: "At first I thought it was trains rushing by as I live near a railway line. It's caused by years of being subjected to loud music."
