Coldplay, Florence + The Machine Are NOT Headlining Glastonbury
Chris Martin and Florence Welch won't topping the Pyramid Stage after all…
Glastonbury Festival’s Emily Eavis has thrown out rumours that Coldplay and Florence + The Machine will headline this year’s event.
Emily (the daughter of Glasto founder, Michael Eavis) told eFestivals: “It’s not Coldplay, this is the first year that most of the rumours are wrong.”
The two bands were previously favourites to join Lionel Richie and Foo Fighters, who announced they would be playing Worthy Farm at the 2015 NME Awards after much speculation.
She added: “Once we got Foos out the way, the rest are secret, it's great that it's like that, isn't it?! Everyone has said it's someone, but sorry about that, it's not Coldplay."
On the subject of Florence who has returned with her comeback single, What Kind Of Man, the organiser said: “I think she’s great, I can’t give anything away. She’s not going to be headlining, but she could be.”
Previous acts to be thrown out of the mix include Fleetwood Mac, Oasis and most recently, Adele.
I'm gonna give you my heart
'Cause you're a sky, 'cause you're a sky full of stars
'Cause you light up the path
I don't care, go on and tear me apart
I don't care if you do, ooh
'Cause in a sky, 'cause in a sky full of stars
I think I saw you
'Cause you're a sky, 'cause you're a sky full of stars
I want to die in your arms, oh
'Cause you get lighter the more it gets dark
I'm gonna give you my heart, oh
I don't care, go on and tear me apart
I don't care if you do, oh
'Cause in a sky, 'cause in sky full of stars
I think I see you
I think I see you
'Cause you're a sky, you're a sky full of stars
Such a heavenly view
You're such a heavenly view, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
