Martin Donates Coat for Dafur
Chriss swanky jacket will raise funds for Oxfams appeal
Chris Martin has donated one of his posh coats to an auction in aid of Oxfams Dafur and Chad appeal.
The coat, a swanky black Dolce & Gabbana number, will go under the hammer along with Sir Elton Johns Versace suit and Corinne Bailey Raes red dress that she wore in her Put Your Records On video.
The ten-day eBay auction aims to raise 500,000.
"Try to imagine living in a tiny shelter made out of straw, dry branches and plastic sheeting with the sun baking down on you at 45 degrees. For most of us that's beyond imagination," said Sir Elton, ccommenting on the Dafur and Chad appeal.
"Right now there are two million people living in camps in Darfur and on the border with Chad. Oxfam is helping 500,000 people providing basic sanitation and clean drinking water but to reach more people they need our help."
