Cheryl Cole Reaches Out To Coleen Rooney

Cheryl Cole has offered her support to Coleen Rooneyafter revelations husband X Factor judge texted Coleen as soon as she heard the news. "Cheryl and Coleen are close friends and text and phone each other regularly, even though they live a long way apart,” a friend of Coleen’s told The Mirror.

"Cheryl's latest text was very short, but she made it clear she was thinking of Coleen and understood what she's going through,” the source said. “Coleen was really pleased and showed it to a few friends. No one understands better than Cheryl what it's like to be in that situation.

"She hasn't offered any advice or suggested what Coleen should do – she just wanted her to feel less alone."

The Rooneys have issued a joint statement asking for privacy and admitting the "last six days have been extremely painful for us and for our families".

"It is impossible for us, as it would be for any family, to attempt to resolve any issues in the current media glare and against the backdrop of so many inaccurate and intrusive stories,” the couple said. "We would therefore ask that the media now respects our privacy and the right of our family to discuss these matters in private."

The fact that the statement comes from both parties seems to suggest Wayne and Coleen are trying to save their marriage.
