Mega Royal Uber Gig
William and Harry are set to organise a concert in tribute to the remarkable life of their mother, the late Princess Diana
The two Princes are preparing the line-up for a for what looks to be a Live8-style super gig, and the current list of performers, which includes Pharrell Williams and Joss Stone, is looking pretty hot.
The gig will take place on Diana's birthday, 1st of July, and the new Wembley Stadium (if it's ever finished) has been confirmed as the venue.
Usual suspects Elton John, Sting and George Michael have confirmed, and, as we reported not long ago, Take That have shown an interest, while names like The Killers (who are said to be a favourite of the royal lads) and Beyonc are being touted as serious contenders.
Though Harry and The Game are reportedly friends, it's not known if the west coast hard nut will be gracing the hallowed Wembley stage. But you can be sure that the weight of the Diana name coupled with the princes' contacts in music around the world will ensure this gig is one to remember.
When announcing his and his brother's plans, Prince William said: "We both wanted to put our stamp on it. We want it to represent exactly what our mother would have wanted. We wanted to have this big concert full of energy, full of the sort of fun and happiness which I know she would have wanted."
By the sounds of it the two young princes have been blessed with a lot of their mother's social style - we're sure this will be the event of the summer
