Conchita Wurst Wears Stockings & Suspenders For Karl Lagerfeld Shoot
If you thought the new issue of CR Fashion Book was going to be all about North West, you thought wrong…

The Fall issue of former Vogue Paris editor-in-chief Carine Roitfeld’s Fashion Book is themed around ‘The New Normal’ and unlikely style icons, also featuring spawn of Kimye, North West.
"I like Conchita because not only does he really have a voice but he has done something that's never been done before,” says Karl Lagerfeld, who also appeared in the fashion story.
“We have all heard of ‘bearded ladies’, but no one has ever seen a bearded man posing as a lady... This brings new meaning to the term ‘drag’.”
Posing alongside pregnant model Ashleigh Good, Conchita’s hair is perfectly coiffed, and he wears a leotard and long gloves with his stockings and sussies.
“It wasn't as easy as I had imagined… it was a sensitive subject,” says Carine Roitfeld. “But Karl's talent in photographing with a classical style gave more strength to Conchita's character!”
Conchita – real name Tom Neuwirth – also closed Jean Paul Gaultier’s autumn/winter haute couture show in Paris last month. Could fashion be his new forte?
