Corinne's a Grammy Star
The three-times Brit nominee is set to shine at the annual US music bash...
Things are going from good to better for Brit Corinne Bailey Rae.
Not only has her eponymous debut album shot to No 4 in the Billboard charts, she's also set to star at the 49th Annual Grammy Awards after being nominated in three categories.
The humble Leeds lass is up for best newcomer, best album and best song for 'Put Your Records On' and will perform a tune on the night (February 11) with John Mayer and John Legend.
Her amazing success Stateside was helped, many say, with an appearance on Oprah Winfrey's show last week where she performed 'Like A Star' and 'Records.
The swanky Grammys bash is just three days before our Brits on February 14 where she is also up for three gongs for best single, best newcomer and best female.
It's a massive coup for the humble northerner who only hit the scene 12 months ago and something tells us she's going to have more than Valentine's cards on her mantlepiece come February 15.
Well done, lady...
