Cristiano Ronaldo in Car Crash
Manchester United player shaken as he writes off his Ferrari
Footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has escaped injury after crashing his car near Manchester Airport this morning.
The 23-year-old Manchester United player was driving his Ferrari 599 through a tunnel when he hit a barrier. His teammate and Goalkeeper Edwin Van Der Sar was behind him at the time, but was not involved in the crash.
Witnesses told the BBC: 'The Ferrari went straight into the wall, his front left-hand wheel came off and then Ronaldo got out of the car - he was a bit shaken.'
Greater Manchester Police are currently investigating the incident and have confirmed that Ronaldo gave a negative breath test at the scene.
