Why CSS Love Paris Hilton

Brazilian electro kids CSS say Paris Hilton and her ditzy antics inspired them on their new album.

The sixsome, who release their self-titled disc 'Cansei De Ser Sexy' this week, have even written a tune on there about the heiress - 'Meeting Paris Hilton'.

Talking to MTV, drummer and guitarist Adriano said, "At the time when we started the band we were really obsessed with Paris because it was way before the sex tapes and the scandals.

"She was almost unknown, she didn't have the TV show and stuff, and Ana, the other guitar player, said to us, Oh you have to see Paris Hilton, she is so retarded!

Adriano went on, "She is so rich, she is so inappropriate, she is always drunk and falling over. And (in one photo) she was drunk and cross eyed, and we were like, 'Shes cool we like her.'"

Singer Lovefoxxx added, "We talk a lot about daily things on our songs like alcohol, like Paris Hilton.

"(The songs are) not about love and not about hate - which everybody feels, but everybody sings about it. I just I think it is nice when you recognise something (every day) and that is it."

Adriano chipped in, "When Lovefoxx started sending me the lyrics they were so different from any others I'd ever read. It looked like she was thinking and writing, 'bla, bla, bla'. It was really cool, and that is why the Paris Hilton thing (came about)."

Guitarist Luiza confirmed the homage is meant to be taken with a huge pinch of salt. "There are a lot of personal jokes and stuff that only we know. But it is funny to see how people (respond to) it," she said.
