Cut Copy Live Review

Kentish Town Forum 06/03/11

Sunday nights are meant for washing hair, hanging laundry and watching the Antiques Road Show. These cultural conventions, it would seem, were not passed onto antipodean electropop outfit Cut Copy as they brought their new-wave synths and electrobeats to North London.
After making great waves on the blogs with their last album Zonoscope an enthused, but discerning crowd enjoyed a classy run through of the band’s more recent tracks and a host of classics from their impressive back catalogue that showed that this is a band in a no hurry to forget their past.
Crowd pleasers such as Lights & Music and Hearts on Fire from excellent sophomore album In Ghost Colours kept the audience rocking and reminded them that the working week had not started just yet.

So as the whole of Kentish Town’s Forum basked in the party beats and the neon lights of Cut Copy’s impressive light show they realised that music really is the best remedy to blow away those Monday blues!
