Daft Punk New Single To Drop Next Week?

First cut from Random Access Memories rumoured for Monday...

The first single from Daft Punk’s forthcoming album Random Access Memories will premiere, according to DJ Lifelike, on French radio on Monday (April 15).

Last night the French DJ tweeted: "Good news, our french robots DaftPunk will premiere their new single next week on the french radio 'Fun Radio', i didnt say anything :)"

While many rumours have abounded over the past few months about the robotic duos plans what we can say with certainty is that Random Access Memories will be released in the UK on 20th May and Chic’s Nile Rodgers is a confirmed collaborator on the LP.
Speaking recently in an online video the legendary guitarist and producer said Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter were “cooler than he thought”.

"As artists we follow each other's careers and they were cooler than I thought," Rodgers revealed.

"The best collaborations in my life are when the people you work with are as good as you expect and then even better than that.

"You realise that the person brings more to the party because you inspire that other artist to go to another level as they do you."

He added: "When I worked with the guys, it wasn't like I was just Nile Rodgers doing a session or collaborating; it was being inspired by people and artists that make you up your game."
