The first episode of "rebooted" soap opera Dallas has proved a hit with UK viewers, recording an audience of close to three million for its first episode last night.
Channel 5 screened the pilot in the middle of aJesse Metcalfeand Josh Henderson.
The soap would probably have done even better if it hadn't been up against ITV's great train robbery drama Mrs Biggs and Channel 4's Paralympic coverage.
