Damon’s New Band

Albarn puts solo project on hold as he launches new collaboration

Two hugely successful bands and a solo career would be enough to satisfy most musicians " but not Damon Albarn.
The Blur and Gorillaz star has now formed a third band, The Good The Bad And The Queen, and has even put a Danger Mouse-produced solo project on hold to pursue it. The group consists of our Damon, The Clashs bass player Paul Simonon, Verve guitarist Simon Tong and Tony Allen on drums.
Apparently the foursome are working on a concept album about London which is currently penned for a January 2007 release, and their live debut is planned to coincide with the BBCs Electric Proms season at The Roadhouse in Camden this October.
