Dancing On Ice: Live Tour Scrapped
Celebs, skaters and fans upset after ITV pulled plug on arena tour...
Bosses at ITV reality show Dancing On Ice have scrapped this year's arena tour.
The Sun reports that the show's celeb contestants and professional skaters are bitterly disappointed that the money-spinning tour has been cancelled.
A source told the paper: "This is a real blow to the celebrities.
"The competition is stressful so it's the tour they look forward to, where they aren't facing the pressure of getting through to the next week.
"Also, they get paid a lot of money to go on tour which they're all missing out on."
But an outcry from fans at the news means that the tour is likely to return for 2014, the paper claims.
The mole continued: "It was thought that with the recession, the tour wouldn’t be a great idea. But, actually, fans are really missing it."
Contestant Shayne Ward said: "It's a shame about the tour. But it would be great to do something to celebrate the series, even if it's one show."
Oona King became the latest contestant to leave the show on Sunday.
