Heidi Range And Sebastien Foucan Get DOI Boot
Sugababe and freerunner lose in dramatic three-way skate-off...
The pair fell victim to this week's double elimination - losing in a three-way skate-off against skier Chemmy Alcott.
The format of the ITV1 talent show was varied this week to see contestants taking part in an "ultimate skills test" in front of the judges.
Their scores from this were then combined with the public vote to determine who would be in the skate-off - with head judge Robin Cousins taking the sole decision as to who would stay in the contest.
He said: "We don’t always get the people in the skate-off that should be there and it makes it a difficult decision. It was a unanimous decision tonight, we all agreed and I am saving Chemmy."
Sebastien made a series of errors after forgetting his routine - and burst into tears as he left the rink, with his dancing partner comforting him.
Judge Louie Spence told him: "You've been so incredible up until this point, when you just lost it. It is just the nature of competition sometimes and it is very sad for somebody with such potential and who is such a good performer."
Sebastien said: "I feel OK, I have to accept now. I have to say thank you to Chris and Jayne, the production, the judges, the coaches…it has been fantastic."
And Heidi said: "I've had the absolute best time. I'm getting all emotional. I want to say thanks to Chris and Jayne, to all my lovely friends over there, to all the coaches and to Andrei and Sylvain as well and the judges. I've had the time of my life!"
Next week is "rock week" on the show.
