*** Daniel Bedingfield has been charged in relation to his car accident in New Zealand earlier this month. The BRITs-nominated soloist has been done for careless use of a motor vehicle for the incident, in which he fractured two vertebrae in his neck. If found guilty, Bedingfield faces a maximum fine of around 380 and possible temporary driving ban.
*** Fred Durst has taken particular offence to an interview conducted by a journalist for Rock Sound magazine and as such has challenged him to stand near the stage at a Limp Bizkit gig. The journo' Jordi Meya asked Durst such questions as "You have a knack for pissing people off, why is that?"
*** Blue are to headline the first of this year's Days Of Thunder events at Rockingham. "This event will continue the successful format we established last year," said Rockingham CEO Ashley Pover, "mixing breathtaking motor racing with big names from the music world to deliver maximum entertainment value and wide appeal for our public." The Blue-headlined Days Of Thunder event will take place on May 2.
*** Faith Evans was arrested for drugs possession earlier this week, it has emerged. The R&B vocalist and her husband Todd Russaw were stopped in their car by police who ended up finding marijuana and cocaine. The pair spent the night in Fulton County Jail and appeared in court the following morning. They've been charged with possession.
*** Mariah Carey has denied that her and J-Lo are planning a duet. Reports in American press suggested that the pair were hoping to release a single together, but not so apparently. "The rumours that Mariah and J-Lo will be collaborating for a duet are false," said Carey. Many reports suggest the pair have had a disliking for eachother for many years.
*** James Brown is in custody after being arrested for allegedly pushing his wife to the floor during an argument. The soul star, now 70-years-old, has reportedly been charged with criminal domestic violence and will remain in custody until a bail hearing later today. Brown's wife Tomi Rae Brown is said to have had bruises to her arm and hip.
*** Badly Drawn Boy is to release a new album in April. The Mercury Music Prize winner recorded the new LP in Stockport with his longtime collaborator Andy Votel and reckons it's his best to date. "It's my best yet," said BDB, "just me and Andy in a room playing bass, guitar and drums."
