It’s all well and good and raking in the cash for a movie series that everyone seems to love, but what happens when actors don’t really ~connect~ with the role they’re being paid to portray?

Celebrities including Daniel Craig, Robert Pattinson, and Katherine Heigl have all come forward to point out that playing ageless vampires, secret agents, and uptight parents isn’t always what it’s cracked up to be.

Robert Pattinson – Twilight

It’s pretty well-documented how little R-Pattz cared for Edward Cullen as a character, with his most famous quote being: “He's the most ridiculous person...the more I read the script, the more I hated this guy...Plus, he's a 108 year-old virgin so he's obviously got some issues there."

Kate Winslet – Titanic

While she didn’t hate the part itself, Kate isn’t a fan of her own acting in the 1997 movie: “Every single scene, I'm like 'Really, really? You did it like that? Oh my God...Even my American accent, I can't listen to it. It's awful," she told the Telegraph.

"Hopefully it's so much better now. It sounds terribly self indulgent but actors do tend to be very self-critical. I have a hard time watching any of my performances, but watching Titanic I was just like, 'Oh God, I want to do that again."

Blake Lively – Gossip Girl

IRL Serena van der Woodsen pointed out that she feels uncomfortable when people idolise her character: “It's a weird thing when people feel like they know you really well, and they don't," she said said.

"I would not be proud to be the person who gave someone the cocaine that made them overdose and then shot someone and slept with someone else's boyfriend. People loved it, but it always felt a little personally compromising—you want to be putting a better message out there.”

Colin Farrell – Miami Vice

The actor made his feelings crystal clear about Miami Vice in an interview with Total Film back in 2010: “Miami Vice? I didn't like it so much. I thought it was style over substance and I accept a good bit of the responsibility.”

Katherine Heigl – Knocked Up

Arguing that her character in the movie did a disservice to women everywhere, she told Vanity Fair: “It was a little sexist. It paints the women as shrews, as humorless and uptight. I had a hard time with it, on some days.

“I’m playing such a b*tch; why is she being such a killjoy? Why is this how you’re portraying women? 98 percent of the time it was an amazing experience, but it was hard for me to love the movie.”

Daniel Craig – James Bond

While he *is* set to reprise his role in the next installment, Daniel previously hit the headlines for telling Time Out that he was done with the role: "Now? I'd rather break this glass and slash my wrists. No, not at the moment. Not at all. That's fine. I'm over it at the moment. We're done. All I want to do is move on."
