Daniel Radcliffe In First Kill Your Darlings Trailer
Former Harry Potter star appears as beat poet Allen Ginsberg...
The first theatrical trailer has been released for Daniel Radcliffe's latest movie, in which he plays beat poet Allen Ginsberg.
The R-rated movie tells the real-life story of the 1944 murder of David Kammerer - and focuses on the relationship between Ginsberg and the killer Lucien Carr, played by Dane DeHaan.
Mixing scenes from college life with the young poet's experimental social activities, the trailer shows him grilling a professor during a lecture and enjoying be-bop music while smoking an unidentified substance.
The film also stars Ben Foster as William Burroughs and Jack Huston as Jack Kerouac.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter about the movie, D-Rad said: "There's a tendency to really hold these guys up on pedestals as they became giants of American literature, and there's a tendency to be, I think reverential toward them.
"That's not what we were interested in doing. We were interested in showing them just running around having a great time in New York when they all first met."
The movie is set for release in UK cinemas on 8 November.
