Daniel Radcliffe: 'I've Got A Chip On My Shoulder'
Former Harry Potter star admits he has struggled with confidence as actor...
Daniel Radcliffehas confessed that he has a "massive" chip on his shoulder about his abilities as an actor.
The former Harry Potter star, who found fame as a child, told the New York Times that he expects his credentials to be questioned because of that.
"I have a massive chip on my shoulder. When you fall into something at age 11 and get paid incredible amounts of money for your entire teenage years for doing a job anyone would want, there is a part of you that thinks everybody is just saying, 'He got there because he fell into it; he's not really an actor'."
But he claimed that he had begun to feel more confident in his abilities in recent years, having settled into more adult roles.
"I feel it less nowadays. It has taken a long time to feel like I've earned the place that I'm at," he explained.
Since leaving the Harry Potter films D-Rad has played a morphine-addicted doctor in a TV series, a young version of beat poet Allen Ginsberg and is set to appear as Frankenstein's assistant in a new movie.
However he recently denied that he will be playing Freddie Mercury.
