The story revolves around the adventures of the textbook's fictitious author Newt Scamander, and the movie will see Rowling writing a film screenplay for the first time.
[uuid=e957e150-f547-4f52-a567-40febff6de4f]Speaking of her new project[/uuid], Rowling said last week: "Although it will be set in the worldwide community of witches and wizards where I was so happy for 17 years, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is neither a prequel nor a sequel to the Harry Potter series, but an extension of the wizarding world."
When asked by reporters at today's Sky Drama launch (September 17) for his thoughts on Rowling's new film, Daniel said: "I first thought, 'Thanks Jo, I'm going to have to answer tons of questions about this now'.
"I'm sure they're going to have a great time [making it]. I'm sure most people are really excited about it."
He added: "Needless to say I wouldn't be involved in it and I guess none of the others [from the Harry Potter films] will be, but I know absolutely nothing about it."
