Dannii Minogue Gives Birth

X Factor judge Dannii Minogue has given birth to a baby boy named Ethan in her hometown of Melbourne.

She went into labour on Monday with her model boyfriend Kris Smith by her side.

A spokesperson for the star said: “Kris Smith and Dannii Minogue are thrilled to announce the arrival of Ethan Edward Smith on 5th July 2010.

“Mother and baby are doing well and Dad is very proud. They request their privacy at this special time to adjust as new parents.”

Minogue has been absent from filming X Factor recently with guest judges including Geri Halliwell and Katy Perry filling in.

She will return to the show later in the year after time with Ethan. A recent Tweet from Dannii said:

“Looking forward to catching up on X Factor auditions. Can’t wait to see Simon, Cheryl and Louis again soon – miss them very much.”
