Dannii Signs £1 Million Record Deal

The X Factor judge/M&S model/mum-to-be will release a dance album...

Dannii Minogue has signed a £1 million record deal with dance label Ministry of Sound, according to reports.

Although she’s now better known for her X Factor role, Dannii has had nine UK top 10 hits including ‘I Begin To Wonder’ and ‘You Won’t Forget About Me’. Her forthcoming album is expected to include collaborations with Freemasons and producer Richard Stannard, who wrote ‘In Your Eyes’ for sister Kylie.

The 38-year-old will release a single by the end of the year, which she will perform for the first time on X Factor, following Cheryl Cole’s lead. Fellow judge Cheryl unveiled ‘Fight For This Love’ during the 2009 finals, and it went straight to the top of the charts.

The Aussie singer is due to give birth to her first child in July so she will not be present for the audition stages of X Factor, but will return in time for the ‘judge’s houses’ stage.

The multi-tasking star is also putting the final touches on her autobiography, in which she promises to reveal “untold stories” about growing up with Kylie, her failed marriage and her X Factor feud with Sharon Osbourne.
