Appearing on the Aussie breakfast show, he said: "It's a struggle, but you know we're the best of friends and we have a massive mutual respect for one another.

"Just taking it one day at a time."

The 33-year-old revealed that their 21-month-old son Ethan was "a blessing" at such a difficult time.

"He's sensational," he added. "He just picks you up every single day."
