Beckhams 'Buy Damien Hirst Baby Monitor'
Couple reported to have splashed out on custom-designed art item...
David and Victoria Beckhamare reported to have splashed out a fortune on a baby monitor decorated by Britain's most successful living artist Damien Hirst.
The couple are claimed to be big fans of the modern artist, whose most famous work was a dead shark in a tank of formaldehyde - and Victoria is claimed to have a pair of high heels decorated by him with his trademark spots.
The baby monitor, for daughter Harper Seven, is apparently decorated with another of Hirst's signature motifs - butterflies.
They are also thought to own at least three Hirst paintings and a silver bull's heart which David gave to Victoria as a gift.
Art critic David Lee told The Sun that the shoes would be worth around £250k alone, and suggested that the Beckham connection would make the items even more valuable.
He said: "The value also goes up because it has hung in the house of celebrities."
A retrospective of Hirst's work is running at London's Tate Modern until September.
We told you recently how David and Victoria were considering selling Beckingham Palace, their home in Hertfordshire.
