Beckhams Maldives Holiday 'Marred By Tragedy'

David Beckhamand his family have reportedly seen their holiday in the Maldives disrupted by a fire and a death.

Victoria Beckham took their kids for a break at an ultra-swanky resort in the island chain - only for tragedy to strike.

First a storage hut containing a huge stash of fireworks for New Year's Eve caught fire, then an untimely death was discovered.

The paper reports: "A storage shelter burned to the ground before firefighters on boats brought the blaze under control yesterday.

"And the usually tranquil resort was rocked by the discovery of the corpse, which a cop spokesman said was an unidentified Sri Lankan man."

The Beckhams cut another holiday in the Maldives short this time last year after they were hit by torrential rain.
