David Beckham Files Hooker Lawsuit

And Victoria will have her baby in Los Angeles…

David Beckham has launched a lawsuit against the prostitute who claimed she slept with him at a New York hotel in 2007.

Beckham filed a five-page statement with a Californian court earlier this week, claiming that the accusations made by prostitute Irma Nici caused him "severe emotional distress, including extended humiliation, embarrassment, anger and worry," and refuting a claim that he paid her $10,000 in cash. “I do not carry around thousands of dollars in cash when I travel,” David said in the statement.

The dad-of-three admitted having a massage on arrival at New York's Le Parker Meridien Hotel, but said that his management team was present the whole time. "As is my custom when I arrive at a hotel on a road trip before a match, a massage therapist came to my hotel room within a few hours after I checked in to give me a massage.

"I recall that the therapist did not leave my hotel room until the very early morning,” David’s statement continued. “My security team was with me before, during and after the massage. After the therapist left I went to sleep.”

The footballer is suing Nici and magazine publisher Bauer, who printed the claims in September, for $25m.

In other Beckham news, it has been reported that David and Victoria have decided to have their baby in America rather than the UK. The decision was made to fit in with David’s LA Galaxy commitments, as he will be back playing for them when the child arrives in July.
