David Beckham 'Offered US TV Sports Show'

Soccer star reportedly wanted by Time Warner to front new show...

David Beckham is reported to have been offered a multi-million dollar deal to present his own TV show in the US.
The Daily Star Sunday claims that Time Warner Cable has tapped up the soccer star, who currently plays for LA Galaxy, to front a twice-weekly sports chat show.
A source at Time Warner was quoted as saying: "We want David on board whether or not he continues to play for the Galaxy. We are on our way to becoming the world's biggest sportscaster and he is a key part of our future."
But a spokesperson for the Beckhams appears to have poured cold water on the story, insisting that there is "no truth" in claims that he is planning a move into sports punditry when his playing career ends.
Becks was recently reported to have been recruited to [uuid=7fd26682-29e0-4d92-b65d-6c00ae880243]appear in a sitcom[/uuid] with former Friends star Matthew Perry - and was apparently [uuid=589659e5-d490-4e99-899f-4053b374cdea]insulted by New Zealand's PM[/uuid].
