David Beckham Suspended Over Football Bust-Up
He'll miss a game after kicking the ball at a rival player...
David Beckham has been suspended from playing in one Major League Soccer match over his role in an on-pitch bust-up.
The 37-year-old former England captain, who was last week overlooked for the Team GB Olympic Games football squad, has also been fined an undisclosed amount by the MLS governing body.
According to Digital Spy, a statement from the MLS read: "The committee considered his conduct unacceptable and detrimental to the league's public image.
"Beckham will serve his suspension on Sunday when the Galaxy take on the Chicago Fire."
The LA Galaxy captain kicked the ball at a San Jose player during a recent game and was involved in a shouting match and minor scuffle.
