David Beckham has declared that meeting US PresidentBarack Obama at the White House was one of the "best moments" of his life.
The soccer star, 37, [uuid=22629f64-8636-4733-9fd1-add85d75b632]got a bit of a ribbing from the leader of the free world[/uuid] when he and his LA Galaxy team mates popped in to see the Prez last week.
And speaking on Daybreak about the meeting, Becks said: "It was one of the best moments of my life. I had such a busy week and I arrive at the White House to meet the President and the First Lady, and he gives me a lot of stick and gives my underwear a plug; it was perfect."
Explaining that he also joined Lord Coe in Athens for the Olympics handover, Becks added: "It was one of the busiest and best weeks of my career and life."
And when asked about his chances of playing for Team GB in the London Olympics, he replied: "No news yet, I've got to keep myself fit and in form and hopefully I'll have a chance."
