David Zowie Scores First UK No 1 With House Every Weekend

As Ed Sheeran returns to top of Official UK Albums Chart...

David Zowie is the new No 1 on the Official UK Singles Chart with his retro dancefloor filler House Every Weekend.

The track saw off the challenge of both Years & Years' Shine and Fifth Harmony's Worth It (ft. Kid Ink) - which were also new entries at No 2 and No 3 respectively.

Last week's No 1 - Lost Frequencies' Are You With Me - slipped to No 4 and the top five was rounded out by Tinie Tempah's Not Letting Go (ft. Jess Glynne).

Meanwhile over in the Official UK Albums Chart, Ed Sheeran returned to the No 1 spot with his current long player X.

Krept & Konan's The Long Way Home was a new entry at No 2 and The Definitive Collection by Lionel Richie and The Commodores fell to No 3.
