Demi Lovato Has Bought The Rehab Clinic Which Treated Her For Depression And Bullimia
She's using her recovery to help others...
Ah, what a wonderful story for a Friday morning.
Demi Lovato is now the co-owner of a rehab clinic. Not just any clinic, but the exact one where she sought help.
In 2013, Demi was treated for depression, bulimia and substance abuse at the CAST centre in LA.
The star, who has been open about her health issues, says she can now function without "some sort of drug or with alcohol" and is using her recovery to help others.
The 24-year-old revealed: "I don't know what it says, it just feels good."
In an interview with CBS' Sunday Morning, Demz admitted how far she's come since first seeking treatment: "Yeah, I was a nightmare. I would say... the word that I want to say, but it's so inappropriate that I can't. And this will be on a Sunday morning, so I'm not going to say it!"
But when reflecting on how rehab has helped her, she said: ""Because of that. I'm now sitting here right now alive and more successful than I've ever been."
This summer, Demi even brought her rehab guru, Mike Bayer (who's the CEO of the clinic) on tour with her and Nick Jonas.
"It sounds ridiculous but, I kind of made a pact with God", she added.
"And I don't even think you're supposed to do that, but I was, like, I promised, 'If you make me a singer one day, I'm going to use my voice for so much more than singing, and I'm going to help people with it.' "
