Demi Lovato Talks Labels and Sexuality In New Documentary

The 'Tell Me You Love Me' singer is sick and tired of everyone labelling her...

Demi Lovato isn't here for labels and is tired of her sexualitybeing made into headline news, okay?

Yesterday the 'Sorry Not Singer' singer spoke out against Brazil's recent approval of gay conversion therapy, encouraging fans to sign a petition that hopes to revert the heartbreaking decisionthat will hurt many LGBT+ people, and some media outlets totally missed the point and turned it into some age-old 'coming out' tabloid fodder.

Understandably, Demi isn't happy about this, saying "Just because I refuse to label myself for the sake of a headline doesn't mean I'm not going to stand up for what I believe in."

The singer has never disclosed her sexuality - I mean, why should she have to? - and her annoyance with some media's obsession with labelling is 1) totally understandable, and 2) giving us everything.

She went on to say that "If you're that curious about my sexuality, watch my documentary. But I don't owe anybody anything." YES, DEMI!

This isn't the first time that she's publicly supported the LGBT+ community, or that her own sexuality was publicly questioned after her bicurious anthem 'Cool For The Summer' made headlines back in 2015.

It's ridiculous that there's still such a huge fascination with sexuality in 2017 and we just hope that Demi calling this out will make the exposé style of some media think twice.

Whether Demi is Cool For The 365 Days A Year, just for the summer or winter, it doesn't actually matter at all. We just hope she's happy, and we're glad that she feels confident (reference) to address it on her own terms.

Her new documentary'Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated'will premiere exclusively on YouTube on October 12th, chronicling the making of her brand new album'Tell Me You Love Me'and much, much more.

We can't wait to watch it!
