ALBUMS
Blood Orange – Freetown Sound
Our weeks were made a whole lot better when Devonté Hynes, better known as Blood Orange, released Freetown Sound three days early. PRAISE BE TO DEV. It might be early days yet, but this might just be one of our favourite albums of the year so far. MTV will be publishing a full list of 2016’s best albums yet, so stay tuned for that. In the meantime, check out the gorgeous ‘Augustine’, accompanied by a music video that serves as a true love letter to New York.

Skepta Ft. Makonnen & Ceon - Coming Soon
Skepta is surging forward and isn’t playing by anyone’s rules. After shutting down Glastonbury, Skepta is now touring the world, recently playing Poland’s Open’er Festival. Plus, even though it's not been long since he dropped 'Konnichiwa', Skepta's just dropped a brand new tune. Featuring iLoveMakonnen and Céon, ‘Coming Soon’ is the first track the Londoner has released since his debut dropped. This track has MAJOR summer vibes, and we’re yet to take it off the MTV office speakers. Long live Skepta.

Blossoms - My Favourite Room
Hailing from Stockport, near Manchester, Blossoms are getting a lot of hype these days. With a debut produced by ex-Coral James Skelly, the band has already headlined the 2,000 capacity Manchester Albert Hall. Not bad. Not bad at all. ‘My Favourite Room’, a first little taster from that debut is stripped-back and sincere, mirroring the band’s down-to-earth nature. In fact, they’re so down-to-earth that their songs have been created in a scaffolding yard owned by one of the group’s granddads. Never change, Blossoms. Never change.
Imani Williams Ft. Sigala & Blonde - Don't Need No Money
The 'Say You Do' singer teams up with Sigala again for her debut single...
