Destiny 2 First Look, Release Date & More
Here's your first look at Destiny 2.
It’s really happening, Guardians. Destiny 2 is coming!
The news broke by way of a single tweet posted by ex-Halo developer Bungie late yesterday. And as announcements go, this one’s pretty secretive... all we have is an image. There’s not even any text!
It’s easy to dismiss the single promotional shot as kinda boring, but look closer and you’ll see a handful of clues hidden in the image… including the smoldering ruins of the Last City on Earth (which is your view from the social/dance hub in the Tower). Seems it’s been attacked by… well. It’s not official, but it’s thought the major threat in the hotly anticipated sequel will be the Cabal. Or perhaps it’s a brand new threat?
But that’s not all. A poster leak last week intimated Destiny 2 will release on September 8, 2017, and PlayStation 4 players will get access to a beta - thought to roll out in June - before any other platforms. And yes, we think the sequel will come to PC, too.
We recently learned that while gear won’t carry over the Destiny 2 (so long, Year 3 Gjallahorn :(), your beloved Guardian will. Phew.
