Grime MC Devlin Gets Snapped Up!

The London City rapper signs to Island-Universal

Everyone has been talking about Devlin over the past couple of months ever since his videos London City and Community Outcast aired on our television screens.

“I’ve enjoyed the whole journey and I’ve been making progress,” says Devlin. “I’ve been able to perform my music all over the country, can’t ask for much more than that.”

Named as one of the BBC’s Sound Of 2010, the east London MC was involved in a major bidding war with 5 record labels.
The rapper has now let it out that he finally chose to sign with Island-Universal (who also home the likes of fellow grime MCs Wiley and Tinchy Stryder).

And how did he celebrate?

“Me and the boys went out and got absolutely hammered!”

Dev' also confirmed that despite his new deal with a major label he will be still making underground music with his crew, O.T., and friends in grime, Ghetts and Griminal.
