It’s your childhood fantasy come to life… an Avengers-esque team-up movie featuring all your favourite Disney princesses! And according to the Hollywood rumour mill, it could be happening soon…

A draft script with the working title 'Princesses' is currently doing the rounds in Hollywood, but Disney are just one of a number of studios potentially interested. A Disney princesses movie made without Disney? Well, it could happen, as the script features characters that aren’t technically Disney creations (Snow White, Cinderella etc), and are therefore in the public domain.

That said, Disney are definitely interested, with the studio said to be considering Pirates 5 director Joachim Rønning to head up the project, should they decide to bid for it. Fingers crossed they get the chequebook out.

No details have been confirmed as to just which princesses feature in the script, but most of Disney’s iconic heroines were first plucked from the pages of fairy stories, so there should be plenty to choose from. Keep everything crossed and wish on the next star you see that it happens…
