DMX Arrested For Speeding In Arizona
Rapper DMX has been arrested for speeding in Arizona - despite [uuid=5ca4d444-73ce-4b2a-8fda-d5e62267876c]being released from prison[/uuid] only a month ago.
According to the BBC, the Slippin' hitmaker was pulled over by police after he was apparently caught driving at 102mph in a 65 zone on a motorway.
Cops claim that a routine check then showed that DMX's licence had previously been revoked.
The 40-year old has now been accused of criminal speeding, driving on a suspended licence and reckless driving.
The rapper has since vowed to sue the authorities over his arrest, insisting to TMZ that Arizona police had no right to pull him over.
He stated to the website: "I was going 85 miles per hour ... I know for a fact I didn't go more than 90. I'm used to driving fast, I'm a New Yorker ... but I constantly look at the speedometer when I'm driving ... I need to make sure I don't drive too fast."
X added: "I plan on suing ... and I plan on suing for harassment. I'm in discussions with multiple lawyers who are not afraid to go against the system in helping me clear my name because I have been harassed."
DMX - real name Earl Simmons - recently earned his freedom after [uuid=5ca4d444-73ce-4b2a-8fda-d5e62267876c]spending eight months behind bars[/uuid] for violating terms of his probation by consuming alcohol at a gig.
