DMX Released From Jail After 8 Months

Now he's a free man, the Slippin' star has vowed to hit the studio...

Rapper DMX is a free man again after being released from prison yesterday morning.
The What's My Name hitmaker, who was jailed for a year after violating terms of his probation by consuming alcohol at a gig, served eight months of his original sentence.
DMX, real name Earl Simmons, probation began after he was charged with aggravated assault and using a false name to avoid forking out $7,500 on a hospital bill.
Speaking after his release from the slammer, the 40-year old stated to Allhiphop.com: "I spoke to my daughter, I just got off the phone with my wife. I'm going to go see my daughter while the sun is up, then I'm going to be in the studio man.”
His manager, Nakai Walker, added to our US Team that the hip-hop star is hoping to reignite his music career, claiming: "I can tell you one thing, he's not going to be going back there [to prison] again."
She added: “Earl has so much more to offer the world. His latest project has been on hold for so long – it’s time for X to redefine the world of hip-hop. It is time to let the Dog out of the kennel.”

It is thought that Simmons' new record will feature collaborations with a number of rap artists, including Busta Rhymes.
