Billie Piper 'Not Appearing In Doctor Who 50th Special'

Former assistant says she hasn't been approached about anniversary show...

Billie Piper has said that she won't be appearing in this year's Doctor Who50th anniversary special.
Speculation has been rife as to which former stars will be included in the one-off spectacular, but Piper - who played Rose Tyler - says she hasn't even been contacted.
Speaking on The Graham Norton Show, she said: "No. I've not been asked. I think Matt Smith said something in passing or in jest like, 'That would be nice', and it became something, but no."
Current star Matt Smith was asked last summer who he would like to appear with from the show's past, and responded: "If I wanted a companion from the past I would say Rose because I am good friends with Billie."
Billie appeared as Christopher Eccleston's assistant when the long-running sci-fi show was first "re-booted" by the BBC back in 2005.
