David Bradley Pictured As First Doctor For Biopic

The first image of Doctor Who, which first aired in 1963, and will also star Brian Cox, Jessica Raine and Reece Shearsmith as Doctor number two, Patrick Troughton.

League Of Gentlemen star Shearsmith - who also praised Bradley's performance as "absolutely brilliant" - said: "[Mark has] done a really good rendering of that time and that story.

"I think it's a real treat."

It is thought both Hartnell and Troughton may be brought to life with the help of some "studio trickery" for the eagerly-anticipated 50th anniversary episode, featuring each and every one of the Doctors.
