Dr Who Star Karen Gillan Donates Hair To New Star Wars Film
The actress reveals that her locks are being recycled for the movie...
Doctor Who's ex-sidekick shaved her hair off for her role in James Gunn's new film Guardians of the Galaxy.
The beauty revealed her hairless head at Comic-Con International last year.
But when asked if she was upset to lose her signature red locks in an interview with Collider, she gave a surprising answer.
"No, I was laughing hysterically", revealed the actress.
"It really hit me when I woke up the next morning. That's when I was like, 'Oh my God, where's my hair?!' But also, everyone kept me in good spirits.
"Everyone was laughing and telling jokes. Marvel are the best company to work for, they really are. They treat you really well", she added.
The actress went on to admit that her hair would have a role of its own in another sci-fi series.
"They made my hair into the most incredible well-made wig and they gave it to the Star Wars people", she told the website.
"It's just so funny to think that my hair is made into a wig, next to all these Star Wars monster heads in a warehouse. I thought that was really funny".
Disney and director JJ Abrams have yet to announce any official cast members for the latest Star Wars film, so Gillan fans should watch out to see if her hair appears on screen when it's released in December 2015!
Guardians of the Galaxy, which also stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana and Bradley Cooper, will hit cinemas on 1 August.
