Rory Kinnear 'Offered Doctor Who Role'

Bookies suspend betting as actor claimed to have been targeted by BBC...

Doctor Who.
The Sunday Telegraph claimed that the 35-year-old, the son of the much-loved character actor Roy Kinnear, had been described as "the perfect choice" by an insider and that an offer was on the table.
But the BBC has made no comment to confirm or deny the story yet - and a source on the show told The Mirror that the search for a new Time Lord has only just begun.
An insider said: "We're still at the start of the search."
However bookies have suspended betting on the role, with Kinnear apparently having been backed strongly at 2/1.

Kinnear is best-known for playing spy Bill Tanner in the last two James Bond movies - but has a strong background in the theatre too.
